Wonders at the bottom of the Nyhavn canal

Danes are crazy about cycling. There are so many bikes in Copenhagen that you can find leftovers at the bottom of the Nyhavn canal. But despite their love for urban cycling and windmills, Denmark ranks second-to-last in ecological footprint per capita. That datum is to be taken with a grain of salt, however, as the country’s tiny population – 5 million, or about half the population of London – distorts the numbers.
